SEAT Ibiza 2009 1.4 TDi Reference

The SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TDI 80 HP became known as one of the most balanced small diesels of its time. The best features of this model are:

- Very low fuel consumption — easily averages between 4 and 5 L/100 km in normal driving. The Ecomotive version achieves even less.
- Very reliable engine — the VAG 1.4 TDI “manco” engine is famous for lasting many kilometres with proper maintenance (oil, timing, filters on time) .
- Good torque for a small engine — 195 Nm provide strong low‐speed torque, especially in city and short overtakes.
- Affordable maintenance costs — parts are relatively cheap and widely available in Portugal due to the many VW group models with similar engines.
- Fun and light driving — this generation Ibiza has direct steering and a more “sporty” behaviour than many contemporaries.
- Good range — with a 45‐L tank it easily covers more than 800 km without refuelling.
- Modern interior for the time.
- Compact but spacious — good for city but with a reasonable trunk (about 292 L) .
